Moore County Jail Museum

Jail Museum

Listed on the National Register of Historical Places, the Moore County Old Jail was in operation for almost 100 years. Constructed of heavy oak timber, the jail contained two 8×8 jails.

A new Moore County Jail was completed in 1990, and upon its opening, the old Jail transitioned into a Museum which showcases historical clothing, artifacts, and actual jail cells the inmates occupied.

Today it also is home to many spirits, apparitions and unexplained phenomena.

Tennessee Paranormal is honored to partner with the Moore County Historical Society to offer public and private investigations.

Private investigations are offered on Friday and Saturday nights.  The cost for a private 8 hour investigation from 6pm to 2am is $390 for up to 6 people.  Anything over 6 will be $50 per additional person with a 10 person limit.  We highly suggest not having more than 8 people for this location as it's small and will contaminate evidence with too many people.

If you are a group with no equipment and/or experience, that is perfectly fine.  Our team will be on hand with equipment and guidance to assist you.

To book an investigation, click on the Book Now link and select a date that is available.

If you're interested in an overnight investigation at both the Moore County Jail Museum and the Old Funeral Home, click Here!
